With the tools that you need to remind yourself of what dynamic, sustainable movement feels like in your body and in your spirit. Let's peel those layers away toward self discovery and empowerment.

My name is Michelle and I have been a physical therapist for over 20 years. Throughout my career I have loved exploring the beauty and benefit of optimal movement and how to help people discover it for themselves. I currently have 500 H of training through the LYT yoga method and am continuing to learn. Through this physical therapy focused method, I have been able to provide tools for ideal motion through yoga and help restore the ease of movement through daily activities. When people are able to move well, it becomes easier to live life well. Finding strength in our bodies can help us find our voice, embrace our lives and do the things that give us joy. Optimal movement is a tool that allows us to play with children, explore nature, walk in cities and find joy in our day to day. Through my expertise, allow me to help you rediscover your joy of movement.

Frequently asked questions

First and foremost, get clearance from your doctor. Once you have that, listen to your body. Stop when you need to stop. Ask for modifications when appropriate. Drink plenty of water. Here is a summary of the classes to help with your decision. Yoga Basics-These are short classes that breakdown each pose to help you discover your optimal position. A great place to start. Chair Yoga-For active people who have difficulty transitioning from the floor into standing. This uses a chair for balance and to help you more easily transition between your poses. LYT Inspired Vinyasa-This is a more rigorous class that uses optimal movement to create a dynamic and sustainable practice. LYT Beginner-more simple transitions broken down and simple poses. There is minimal to no plyometrics. LYT Intermediate-more complex transitions and poses, options for more plyometric movement LYT All levels-Options for all levels. YogaChi-This is a combination of yoga and tai chi. It is a slower class with more cueing for breath. YogaArts-more dynamic movements that include a combination of punches and kicks as we transition through our flow. Integration of Strength for Life-approximately 15 min classes that can be combined for a longer class. Simple strengthening exercises done in sitting, standing, lying on the floor, a sofa or a bed. Created for those of us with limitations on time, who deisre more strength. These classes are for ALL levels and will have modifications for people that might need more assistance. Mobility-explore mobility in each joint or by quadrant to help expand and optimize your movement practice. This will incorporate stretching as well as simple motion. Tai Chi-This is a delightful movement practice that includes both forms and instruction on the breakdown of forms and more specific movements that we do in the forms. Good class for balance, coordination and strength. Slower pace. Dance-This is a fun, dynamic, higher intensity class with dance moves and fun, current music.
